Fairy Costume News
I need to make a costume of tinkerbell from peter pan, any suggestions Thanks
This is what I did - I found a lime green leotard at a dance studio, then bought some white toole and dyed some of it lime green and left some of it white. I fashioned it after the picture on the website below - Good Luck!

go to a fabric store and buy a pattern and fabric then break out that trusty sewing machine! or if you dont have one find one at a yard sale (don't buy one at a store they rip you off BIG TIME) JUST MAKE SURE IT SEWS BEFORE BUYING IT!!
I am a man and who had never used a sewing machine but i borrowed my mother-in law's machine and made ragedy ann and andy costumes for my wife and i and superman for our little boy they were a HUGE hit!

I'm sure you could find a tutu, a ballet one. Buy one in white, and then dye it lime green. Then all you need is green hosery, (or nude), and some wings!

First, get a green leotard, or a green tube top. If they're glittery, great! If not, whatever. Then get a green miniskirt that is cut in a zig-zag pattern at the bottom hem. You can make this out of stretchy fabric and cut it with pinking shears, or you can use a green ballet tutu. It's really important that everything is green. Next, pull your hair up in a floppy bun, leaving your bangs hanging out if you have them. If you don't have bangs, just leave out a few strands in the front. For wings, sew gauzy, sheer fabric around a wire frame and attach elastic straps. You can create a wand out of Tinker Toys or K'nex. For shoes, glittery or shiny ballet flats will work. They can be silver, white, or green. You can also attach a big white pompom to each shoe, if you wanted to. As a finishing touch, fashion a tiara out of silver pipe cleaners, and you are ready to go! Happy Halloween!
